Ebun Oloyede popularly known as Olaiya Igwe a Nigerian Actor, film maker producer and director is a native of Oke Ejigbo, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Olaiya attended St.Judge primary school Abeokuta and has his Secondary school education in Premier Grammar school Abeokuta, he proceeded to Moshood Abiola Polytechnic,Ojere to study Mass communication. In 2022, He graduated from Crescent University, Abeokuta, Nigeria.
Edun started his acting career as a TV personality at the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) where he acted in a stage play with Musbau Shodimu theater Organization in the 1970s.
Olaiya Igwe is known for the production of Iru Esin, Alase Aye and Abela Pupa.
He has spent more than forty years in the movie industry, he has featured in over one hundred movies and produced over twenty movies.
In 2021 Igwe who has featured in over 100 movies and produced over 20 movies revealed that his last movie Aditu Isokan which he spent about N52 million to produce went down the drain due to pirates. This incident almost gave him heart attack.
