Debsandy set to premiere new movie Silent pain in Four countries


Dr Deborah Onyema also known as Dr Debsandy is an Irish/Nigerian songwriter, author, Nollywood movie producer, founder Debsandy Icare foundation and mental health professional abroad.

The multi award winning singer who was born and raised in Kaduna state is happily married with three kids.


Q: Who first believed in you ?

Debsandy: I got the inspiration and desire to interprets a character from my late twin brother’s story I wrote few years back .
My husband and late twin brother first believed in me .

Q: What are the major challenges you have faced so far as na actress ?

Debsandy: Hmmm , major challenges are lack of financial supports and miscalculations of production schedules .

Q: Let’s talk about your current project. What inspired the story?

Debsandy: My current project is titled Silent Pain . I was inspired by some experiences people share with me about marriages and how their religion has shaped their marriages positively and negatively.

The movie was shot in owerri and some part in United Kingdom .It will be premiered on November 11th 2023 in Uk , Ireland , Canada and USA very soon and should be showing soon on YouTube

Q: Can you recall the movie that brought you to limelight, the title and how you secured the role you played in the movie?

Debsandy: The movie that brought me to limelight was my first production titled Selfless Sacrifice . I was the twin sister to Collins Ejike , which was the story of my late twin brother . The director ( Zion productions) suggested I take the role to be able to interpret it better .

Q: Can you recall the most challenging situation that almost ended your career?
Well ,

Debsandy: I have passion for acting and entertainment . So I have not experienced any challenge that could make me think of ending my career . I mean not for now anyway .

Q: Aside Acting what else do you do?

Debsandy: I am a mental health professional, Gospel artist, CEO of Debsandy entertainment, Debsandy foundation,, Icare Youth health awareness. We give support to widows, less privileged and also create healthy awareness on drugs and alcohol.

Q: One word for your fans

Debsandy: have faith, hope and trust in God.Believe in yourself, don’t be in a hurry however keep pushing and Don’t get up
