Following reports on insecurities and incessant robbery attack on students of adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic Eruwa, the management and students’ union executives were invited by the Commissioner for Education oyo state Professor Abdulwaheed Soliu, to address the issue.
Present at the meeting was the Acting Rector Dr Gbade Akinteye, AG Registrar Mr Oladipo Oladele and the Dean Students’ Affairs Mr David Araromi who spoke on behalf of the management while the students’ leader Comrade Ridwan Abdulazeez presented issues on behalf of the students.
It was reliably gathered that the meeting dwells on how to tackle the insecurities in the town.
According to a press release by the Public Relations Officer of the students’ union body of Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic Eruwa, the commissioner urged students to be security conscious.

Dear Students, In response to the letter sent to the Oyo state government and the Commissioner for Education by the Students Union Government of Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa addressing the robbery incident going on in the Town, the SUG were invited with the School Management by the Honourable Commissioner for Education to discuss about what students are facing and what transpired before we started the Peaceful Protest that led to Vandalizing of Amotekun’s Operation Vehicle.
The SUG President and other Executives spoke on behalf of the Students Union Government while the Rector spoke on behalf of the school management.
The Honourable Commissioner for Education appreciated the school management and the students union, He as well gave fatherly advice to the students.
The resolutions of the meeting are as follows:
1. Students should be mindful of external who enter their houses.
2. Female students should be careful about their school boyfriends.
3. The Paramilitary on campus should engage in Raky activities alongside with the SUG.
4. The school management was charged to meet the Landlords of the community including the Baale which the management has done.
5. Government will plot DSS on campus and anyone caught with bad habit such as Cultism or Robbery will not be only Expelled but charged to court for justice to take its course.
