Nigerian actor John Okafor popularly known as Mr Ibu had one of his legs amputated to keep him alive, this was disclosed in a statement published by his family.
It was reliably gathered that the actor was battling an undisclosed health issue that requires financial assistance to aid his treatment.
The statement published on his official Instagram handle on Monday revealed he had undergone some surgeries and one of his legs must be amputated for him to stay alive.
His family however thanks Nigerians for their support.
